Our Story

About Velocity Isokinetics

Australian-made isokinetic training and rehabilitation equipment, engineered over decades of development for athletes and clinicians pursuing measurable, repeatable performance gains.

Decades of Development

Velocity Isokinetics builds high-speed isokinetic equipment that has been engineered and refined over decades of development. The lineage draws on a long history of isokinetic resistance research and field testing with athletes and rehabilitation professionals.

The Velocity Isokinetics range continues equipment formerly developed as part of FTI Sport (FastTwitch Isokinetics). The current machines are the product of continuous engineering iteration on that earlier platform.

The focus has always been the same: controllable, accommodating resistance that lets a user produce maximum effort throughout a full range of motion with minimal joint loading.

Leadership

Founded by Alan Maynard

Velocity Isokinetics is led by Alan Maynard, Founding Director. Alan's background spans the engineering and applied development of isokinetic resistance equipment, and he continues to direct the design and manufacture of the range.

Engineering & Intellectual Property

The resistance mechanism at the heart of the Velocity Isokinetics range is an engineered control-valve system designed to deliver accommodating isokinetic resistance.

The control-valve system is the subject of an Innovation Patent [PLACEHOLDER — client to confirm number, live certified status and ownership before publishing]. It covers the isokinetic control-valve mechanism; it does not extend to brand naming or every individual feature of every machine.
